Amstel Village Centre
Project brief was to achieve a medical centre, gymnasium, fast food restaurant, service station and car wash. Client had a specific interest in the Medical Centre and the Car wash as he would be long term owner of the properties, after selling off the service station, fast food restaurant etc…
With a large number of stakholders in the project, and integrated approach was taken between the planning, urban design and architectural teams to achieve a positive outcome. The project evolved over many months following input from council, VicRoads, traffic consultants and urban design. The project incorporates an innovative layout which combines the service station and fast food restaurant, allowing for all of the desired facilities to be provided within the site despite the limited space. The design addresses the vital interfaces between the medical centre and surrounding residential developments to acheve a sympathetic interface.
